Josh has been a licensed mortician in Minnesota since 2000. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Mortuary Science Program in 2000. Josh spent his last 20 years as a funeral director, 10 of them in the Minneapolis/St Paul area and 10 in western Minnesota before joining Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in April of 2019. Josh officially became manager in August of 2019. Josh and his wife Chastity live in Albert Lea. They have a blended family of 7 children, 2 grandchildren and a dog, Lucy. Josh is a member of the Daybreakers Kiwanis Club and YMCA. In his free time give him the outdoors, a gun, fishing pole and remote location and it's a good day. Josh is enjoying serving the members of Bayview/Freeborn Funeral home and looks forward to many years working with the community.
Joe has been a licensed mortician since 2018. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Mortuary Science Program in 2017. He spent 2 years working in St. Paul before joining Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in August of 2019. Joe and his wife Mallory live in Albert Lea with their dog Skol. They are members of St. Theodore’s Catholic Church. Joe is also a member of the Albert Lea Rotary Club. They enjoy watching football and playing golf. Joe looks forward to serving the members of Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and all of the surrounding community in any way he can.
Dominic has been a licensed mortician in Minnesota and Iowa since 2016. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Mortuary Science Program in 2015. Dominic has worked in St. Paul and Blue Earth, Winnebago, and Truman, MN before leaving funeral service to join the Peace Corps in 2018. He served as an Elementary English Teacher in Mafeteng, Lesotho, a small landlocked nation in Southern Africa. His Peace Corps was cut short because of the Covid-19 Pandemic in March of 2020 as all Peace Corps volunteers worldwide were sent home. Dominic began working at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in May of 2020. Dominic currently lives in Albert Lea and enjoys a good book in his spare time. Dominic looks forward to serving the members of Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and all of the surrounding community in any way he can.
Beth has been with Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home since January of 2019 beginning as a visitation attendant and joining the team full time in March of 2020. Beth is a familiar face in the community being born and raised in the Albert Lea area and ever since called Albert Lea home. Outside of work she enjoys walking, reading, and spending time at home with her three Cocker Spaniels; Boomer, Billie & JoZ. Beth enjoys assisting and serving the members of Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and the community wherever the need lies.
Al has been with Bayview/Funeral Home since June of 2012. He is a funeral assistant, the building maintenance person and groundskeeper. Al was born and raised in Albert Lea. After graduating from Albert Lea he attended Mankato State University and earned a degree in Law Enforcement. He then worked for 25 years with the Police Department for the City of Albert Lea. He is married to Tera and they have 2 adult children, Nate and Taylor and a granddaughter Hannah Lynn. In his spare time Al enjoys hunting and beekeeping along with spending time with family and friends. Al enjoys serving and assisting the members of Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in all aspects.
Angie has been with Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home since July of 2014. She is a funeral assistant and the ultimate housekeeper for our facility. Angie grew up in Hollandale and has been a lifetime resident of the area. Angie was an organist for 25 years and still enjoys playing. She and her husband, Brooks have two children, Cohen and Jovie. Outside of work their family enjoys bonfires, walks and spending time together. Angie enjoys assisting and serving the members of Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in all aspects.
Jenny joined Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in March of 2021 as the visitation attendant and service assistant. Jenny is a lifelong resident of Albert Lea. She has been employed with Produce State Bank for 28 years. Jenny and her husband Troy have two adult children, Allison and Aaron. In her free time Jenny enjoys walking, yard work, annual flower planting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoys being a part of Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and looks forward to serving the members and community in the years to come.
Jeff along with his wife Annie is the owner of the funeral home. Jeff is a 1985 graduate of Wayne State University’s Mortuary Science Program.
He also holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University which he earned in 1992. He enjoys exercising and spending time off with his children – Maggie, Jack and Peter.
Jeff and his family are members of the St. Basil Catholic Church. When time allows, Jeff likes to be active in our community and is a member of the Kiwanis Club, Loyal Order of the Moose, Sons of the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus. In 2013, Jeff and his family were the St. Basil Knights of Columbus Family of the year.
Jeff was recognized by the Bobby Walker Administration with their Leadership Award in 2010. He was also recognized by the First Spiritual Church of Covert for his role in community leadership in 2015.
