Funeral services for Wilma LaRue Zoller, age 87, of Albert Lea will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Rev. Janet White will officiate. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Wilma died Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society.
Wilma LaRue Zoller was born on March 3, 1928 in Manchester Township, the daughter of Nels and Alma (Fiene) Sondergard. Wilma grew up in rural Freeborn and graduated from Freeborn High School in 1945. On July 14, 1946 Wilma was united in marriage to Wilbur Zoller in Bricelyn. They later divorced. She worked at Bridon Cordage Inc. until her retirement. Wilma was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 60 years and was also a past district president. She enjoyed volunteering and served on the board of SEMCAC and was a Crime Victim Advocate for 15 years. Wilma was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing, rosemal, painting, reading, making crafts and was an avid twins fan.
Survivors include her children Sharon Jensen, Marcia (Bud) Bedigrew and Shelly (Don Lyons) Carlson; grandchildren Jerry Lynn, James, Christine, Jennifer, Bryan, Lisa, April, Cy and Jeff; many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; son Alan; daughter Kathryn and siblings Marilyn, Luverne and Bernard.
