Willis Earl Schuette

September 10, 1926 — January 16, 2009

Willis Earl Schuette was born on September 10, 1926 to Earl and Emma Bonin Schuette in Blooming Grove Township, in Waseca County. He was baptized at the Immanuel Methodist Church in Blooming Grove where he spent his childhood growing up on the family farm. Willis attended schools in the Waseca County area. Later taking advanced courses in psychology and mental physics. Willis entered the United States Army in 1950 during the Korean War, serving in combat until his discharge in 1952. He was a member of the American Legion. Willis made his home in Albert Lea and was employed by Rilco Rafters, Weyerhauser Co. and Alamco Wood Products. He spent 42 years in wood laminations at the plant retiring in 1994. Willis greatly enjoyed going to auctions, collecting antiques and doing various repair work. He continued to make his home in rural Bancroft Township until his death. Survivors include his brother, Dwain Elaine Schuette of Apache Junction, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. Willis was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Glennis Schuette, Erma Davis and Fern Wobschall and Alois McGee; and brothers, Norval and Glen Schuette.
