Willie Frank Funfar was born to Frank and Mary (Chrs) Funfar on January 30, 1920 on the farm his family purchased in 1903, just west of Myrtle. He lived there all except the last three years of his life, farming the land, milking cows and raising his family. He attended Baron School, District #100, located just one-half a mile north of the farm through the eighth grade. On September 23, 1943, he married the love of his life, Adriana Wildeman, in the Methodist Church in Austin. Willie was a member of the United Methodist Church of Glenville and a life-long member of the ZCBJ Lodge near Myrtle. Willie bought a dump truck and started a trucking business in the early 1970s. He operated that business about 20 years. Willie enjoyed woodworking especially fancy scrollwork, going camping at Pikeâs Peak, having coffee and donuts with his friends and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Willie loved music throughout his life. He will be missed for his storytelling and his mischievous sense of humor. Blessed be his memory.
