William Edward Nothwehr was born on August 21, 1922 in Lane, South Dakota the son of William and Martha Nothwehr. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. On June 12, 1946, William was united in marriage to Dorothy Schoenrock in Waldorf, MN. The couple moved to Albert Lea in 1957 where William was the Lumberyard Manager at United Building Center. He was a long-time member of the Lions Club, volunteer driver for Ride Services and also volunteered at the Freeborn County Historical Society. William also served as an election judge and was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. William is survived by his children, James and wife Tami Nothwehr, Blandon, Pennsylvania, Rollin and wife Cherryl Nothwehr, Holland, Michigan, Joyce and husband David Rohy, New Praque, MN., Faryle Nothwehr, Iowa City, IA., and Robert Nothwehr, Bloomington, MN. Grandchildren, Andrea and Scott Nothwehr, Blandon, Pennsylvania, Hallie and William Nothwehr, Holland, Michigan and Eric and Nicholas Rohy, New Praque, MN. Sister-in-law, Mary Nothwehr, Mankato, MN. William was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy, brothers, Hubert and wife Beata, Bernard, Rueben and wife Esther and Donald Nothwehr.
