Funeral services for Warren Tuttle will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by local servicemenâs organizations, VFW and American Legion. Warren died Thursday, January 23, 2015 at St. Johnâs Lutheran Community.
Warren Edward Tuttle was born January 31, 1926 on the family farm in Freeman Township, the son of Lee Ernest and Katherine Eva (Attig) Tuttle. He attended Dist. #46 School. After school Warren enlisted in the United States Army. He served in the 35th infantry stationed in the Southwest Pacific during WWII. Warren worked for Wilson and Co. Hog Kill for 33 years before retiring. On February 12, 1972 Warren was united in marriage to Norma Schwickerath at St. Theodoreâs Catholic Church. He was a member of the VFW and St. Theodoreâs Catholic Church. Warren enjoyed visiting, reading and playing cards.
Survivors include his sons Wesley Tuttle and Martin Tuttle; daughters Nancy (Jan) Stillwell and Laura (Larry) Biggs; grandchildren, JoDee Tuttle ,Lindsey Tuttle, Wesley Tuttle, Dawn Jensen, Jesse Tuttle, Tracie Murnan, Kristie Hand and Brad Biggs and several great-grandchildren; sister Vera (Veryl) Wallin; sisters-in-law Coletta (Dan) Geerts, Imelda Schmitt, Imogene (Howard) Attig and Jane Schwickerath; brothers-in-law Denis (Rosemary) Schwickerath and Joe (Rose Ann) Schwickerath and many nieces and nephews.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents; wife Norma; sister Evelyn Olson and brother-in-law Carroll Olson.
Memorials are preferred to the Knights of Columbus, Albert Lea.
