Viola Schweertman was born December 18, 1922 to Harm and Dena (DeRaad) Nienoord in Bradford, IA. She was two years old when the family moved to Hollandale, MN in 1924. She attended grade school in Hollandale. On January 29, 1953, she was united in marriage to Henry Schweertman in Hollandale. She worked for over thirty years at the Hollandale Marketing Association. She was a member of the Hollandale Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary E. Cincotta, four grandchildren, Alyssa, Andrew, Samantha, and Selena, former sons-in-law, Dominic A. Cincotta and Michael P. Legato. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry, her brothers Jack (Minnie), Engel (Jean), and Harm (Ione) Nienoord and sisters, Grace (Sidney) Dale, Ida (Orville) Johnston, Ann (Herman) Boelman, Dena (Alvin) Tavis, Nancy (Viggo) Christensen, and Minnie (Russell âBuzzieâ) Lerum.
Any memorials are preferred to the Hollandale Christian Reformed Church.
