Theresa Sorenson

Theresa Carol Sorenson was born on September 26, 1935 to Omar and Sophie Jacobson Otterson in Albert Lea. She grew up in the Ellendale area and attended rural schools. Theresa was confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. On Oct 26, 1953 she was united in marriage to Marlys Sorenson in New Richland. Theresa worked at Land 'O Lakes for 13 years and worked as a product demonstrator for several companies for 20 years. She was a member of Community Lutheran Church in Geneva. Theresa was also a member of the Stateline Polka Club. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, craftwork, making dolls, traveling, fishing and camping. Theresa loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always took time and enjoyed helping others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Marlys; children, Kathy Milt Solomonson, Karen Olson, Kay Sorenson Loren Sames and Keith Sorenson; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Otterson, Lloyd Charlene Otterson, Rolf Marlene Otterson, Clifford Margaret Otterson, Dorain Otterson and Odean Margie Otterson; sister-in-law, Ardene Otterson; many nieces and nephews Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene Otterson; sisters-in-law, Bernice Otterson and Lana Otterson; and great-granddaughter, Myah Sorenson.
