Ted W. Haack

December 22, 1920 — February 26, 2005

Theodore Walter Haack was born on Dec. 22, 1920 in Austin the son of John and Lizzie Frick Haack. He attended school in Austin and then entered the US Marine Corps from 1942 through 1944. After his discharge he returned to Austin where he was employed at the Geo. A. Hormel Company until his retirement in 1982. Ted was united in marriage to Lois Laudert on May 17, 1942 in Austin. After her death, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Payne Bogue on July 12, 2000 in Las Vegas, NV. Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing and a good game of cards, weekends at the cabin in Wabasha and summer vacations with his family. After his retirement, the couple would winter in Brownsville, Texas where he enjoyed the warm weather and made life long friends. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, the Eagles Club and was active in the Senior Citizens Center in Albert Lea. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn and her family, Vicki, Alan, Sandi, Nancy, Charles, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him dearly. Sons, Ted Jr. Palm Springs, CA, Scott Haack, Austin and Curtis and wife Carla, Coon Rapids, MN. Daughter, Carol, Ramsey, MN. Grandsons, Joshua and Joseph and great-grandchildren, Regan, Landan and Acacia. Sister, Jean Martin, Sheldon, MO. Nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lois. Special partner, Marge Miller, Brothers, Herman and Louis, sister, Emma and stepdaughter, Jayne Harmdierks. Ted was a devoted family man who made many friendships wherever he would hang his hat. He will be missed by all.
