Sylvia Sue Meuser

Funeral services for Sylvia S. Meuser, age 65, of Albert Lea will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Tom Biatek will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2015 at Bayview, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Sylvia died on Friday, March 20, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
Sylvia Sue Meuser was born on November 5, 1949 in Albert Lea, the daughter of Raymond and Iva Legreid. Her mother died in childbirth, and Sylvia was adopted by Arthur and Edna Hazel Meuser. She grew up here and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1968. Sylvia went to Cosmetology School in Mason City and worked as a beautician. She later went to school in Austin for Graphic Arts and worked in Austin in that field. Sylvia then entered the Home Health business and was the Owner of Morning Star Home Health Care. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts, going camping, and animals, especially her pet dogs.
Survivors include her sister Bernadine “Bunny” Kuyper; foster brother Ralph Conrad (Eleanor) Wangen, foster sister Joan Wittmer, sister-in-law Phyllis Nielsen, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ardith (Gordon) Knudtson, brothers Kendall (Alice) Meuser, and Darrell Meuser, brothers-in-law Lyle Kuyper and Leslie Wittmer, special cousin Diana Schmidt, and other cousins.
