Memorial services for Sharon (Bauers) Bates, 69, of LeHigh, IA will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at Lunder Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Bill Peters will officiate. Interment will be at Lunder Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Sharon died peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Sharon was born September 21, 1945 to William and Irene (Schreiber) Bauers. She grew up in the Albert Lea area and graduated from Albert Lea High School. She married Paul Isaacson on July 14, 1966. They had two children, Angie and Jason. They were later divorced. She then married Henry Bates on October 24, 1981. They had three children, Patrick, Amber and Crystal.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Burnside, Iowa. She was involved in the quilters club and various Bible studies. She enjoyed coffee and playing cards with her friends. She loved spending time with her family, cooking for everyone, and helping anyone in need.
Survivors include her daughter, Angie (Dale) Cheney of Mason City, IA; son, Jason(Beth) Isaacson of Glenville, MN; daughters, Amber Bates of Lehigh, and Crystal Bates of Mason City; grandchildren Desiree LaVoy (boyfriend Julian), Emerald Cheney (boyfriend Brandon), Shalin Hoelscher (boyfriend Alan), William, Addie & Abraham Isaacson, and Kylie Scranton. Great grandchildren Ruby Mora and Baby Hendrickson; siblings Grace (Woody)Woodcox, Herman (Meri) Bauers, William (Kay) Bauers, and Debbie (Larry) Struck; boyfriend John Cole and Several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Sharon was proceeded in death by her son, Patrick; husband, Henry; her parents; brother, Norman Bauers, sister-in-law, Janice Bauers; former husband, Paul Isaacson.
