Ruby Grace Olson

Ruby Grace Olson was born on June 5, 1922 to John and Mary Schmidt Doppelhammer in Nunda Township. Ruby grew up in Nunda Township and was a member of the Bear Lake Lutheran Church. On June 12, 1940 she was united in marriage to Wilford Olson at the Bear Lake Lutheran Church. The couple lived in Mansfield Township where they farmed and Ruby was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mansfield Lutheran Church all her married life. After retiring from farming the couple moved to Albert Lea, Emmons and then Good Samaritan Home. Ruby enjoyed gardening and her flowers, embroidery and needlework. Survivors include her children, David Judy Olson of Riverton, WY, Elaine Douglas Nelson of Emmons, MN, Daryl Olson of Faribault, MN, Kathryn Ron Rudebeck of Waverly, IA, and Bryan Beth Olson of North Mankato, MN; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilford; brothers, Vern, Art, Floyd, and Harry; and one grandson in infancy.
