Rosella M. Larson

Memorial services for Rosella M. Larson, age 88, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home Chapel.  The Rev. Dwight Netzer will officiate.  Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service. 

Rosella died on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Mayo Health System, Albert Lea.

Rosella M. Larson was born on February 19, 1923 in Albert Lea, the daughter of Webster and Evelyn (Nelson) Horning.  She grew up and attended Albert Lea Schools.  On March 28, 1941 Rosella was united in marriage to Alvin Larson in Albert Lea.  She worked at various jobs throughout her lifetime.  Rosella was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed bowling and helping out her family.

Survivors include her sons Allen W. and his wife Becky of Ellendale, Michael L. and his wife Cherri of Albert Lea, and Larry and his wife Ginny of Albert Lea; daughter-in-law Alice Larson of Ellendale; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Rosella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alvin, son Dennis, brother Clarence (Ruth) Horning, sisters Edith Howell, Evelyn Oyer, Hazel Wilson, and several nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Freeborn County Humane Society.
