Graveside services for Ronald J. VanEngelenburg age 66 of Albert Lea will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Hollandale Cemetery.  Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Ron died on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at his home.

Ronald John VanEngelenburg was born on November 26, 1951 in St. Paul, MN., the son of Marvin and Alice (Ravenhorst) VanEngelenburg.  He attended and graduated from Albert Lea High School.  It was during his school years that Ron met his future wife Bertha DeLaCruz.  Ron worked at various jobs during his years first in Hollandale and then in Albert Lea.  As a younger man he was very good at waterskiing and enjoyed that sport.  Ron enjoyed the simple things in life and was happy with what he had.  Family was very important to him and enjoyed the time spent with each of them.  He loved and cared for his faithful companion Dixie his dog.  Ron enjoyed the Minnesota Vikings and NASCAR.

Survivors include his son, Nathan (Kristin) VanEngelenburg, Prior Lake, MN., 3 grandchildren; Alexa, Addison and Alivia.  Sister, Susan (Randy) Campbell, Daphne, Alabama and their children, Kaitye, Scott (Jamie) and David Campbell.  Special great niece Amelia and his former wife Bertha DeLaCruz

Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
