Rodney V. Johnson was born April 14, 1937, to Lavendar O. and Myrtle Narveson Johnson in Albert Lea. He attended schools in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1955. Rodney served in the United States Army from 1955 - 1959, the United States Navy from 1959 - 1963, and the Minnesota Air National Guard. On September 30, 1961, he was united in marriage to Naomi I. Imamoto in Honolulu, Hawaii. After Rodney was discharged from the Navy, the couple returned to Minnesota where he worked in various occupations including a body shop, Fountain Industries, Emil Olson, Streaters, Miami Margarine, and as a substitute mail carrier. Rodney was a very active member of First Lutheran Church and the Elks. He enjoyed cars and belonged to several car clubs. He also enjoyed traveling Survivors include children: Cheryl Foster of Houston, TX, Bonnie Hunt of Tulsa, OK, and Jeffrey Johnson, also of Tulsa; grandchildren: Ashley Cather, Alexandra Hunt, Nickolas Hunt, all of Tulsa, and Savannah Johnson of Oklahoma City; and sister, Marilyn and her husband, Gary Loshman of Albert Lea. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Naomi. Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church or the Crossroads Community Hospice.
