Robert D. Skophammer

Robert died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at his home. Robert was born on November 3, 1928 to Thomas and Inanda Kvidt Skophammer in Albert Lea, MN. He attended Rofshus School District 24, Barlow School District 20 and Albert Lea High School. Robert served in the United States Army during the Korean war as a medical technician. He lived in Freeborn County all his life. Robert enjoyed being on his farm, gardening, and sports. He was a member of Central Freeborn Lutheran Church, the American Legion and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his brother, Duane Carmen Skophammer of Albert Lea; sister, Phyllis Ross Ulland of Hollandale; nieces, Jean Lunde, Ruth Lunde, Barbara Tom Kvale, and Rebecca Michael Olson; nephews, Randy Heidi Skophammer and Joel Tracy Ulland. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Olaf Lunde; and nephew, Greg Ulland.
