Robert Parker Muschler

December 14, 1924 — April 12, 2008

Robert Parker Muschler was born on December 14, 1924 to Arthur and Florence Bennett Muschler in Aurora, IL. Robert grew up in Illinois and pursued an education receiving his masters in social work. He served in the United States Army during WWII. On November 5, 1955 he married Joan Schmiedeskamp at St. Peter's Church in Kirkwood, MO. In 1965, the couple moved to Albert Lea where Robert was employed by Freeborn County Mental Health Center as a Psychiatric Social Worker. Robert was a founding member of both the Albert Lea Community Theater and the Minnesota Festival Theater. He was a past president of, and was also the chairman of the Building Committee working with the city for the Civic Theater. Robert was a member, and past president of the Albert Lea Art Center and a member of the American Pigeon Racing Union. Survivors include his wife, Joan; children, Jeff Muschler of Winona, MN, AnnSteve Brehmer of Deer Park, WA, Tom Kay Muschler of St. Charles, MN, Steve Patti Muschler of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Matt Muschler of Mason City, IA, and Eric Karen Muschler of Minneapolis, MN; 11 grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Audrey Muschler of Oakbrook, IL. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur Muschler; and sister, Florence Mary Muschler.
