Richard Chris Anderson was born September 23, 1930, to Hans C. and Marie Nelson Andersen in Geneva Township. He had served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952-1953. Dick worked in construction until retiring several years ago. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member of the VFW. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading, and spending time with his relatives and many friends. Survivors include his sisters, Helen Sydnes and Jeanette Fleming; brother-in-law, Delbert Wegner; and nieces and nephews: Morgan Fleming and family, Nancy Fleming Norton and family, Vickie and Jerry Paulson and family, Richard and Sheryl Sydnes and family, Roxie and Gary Olson and family, Sandy and Mark Friday and family, Mike Wegner and family, David Anderson and family, Jan and Scott Sorenson, and Dean Anderson and family. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Foster and his wife, Ferne Anderson; sisters, Eleanor Wegner and Sylvia Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Earl Sydnes and Wendell Fleming.
