Raymond Roy Kilian was born February 15, 1919, to Albert and Clara Griese Killian in Gettysburg, SD. After he graduated from Gettysburg High School, he moved to Geneva, MN, where he worked as a farm hand. On July 6, 1941, Raymond was united in marriage to Ethel A. Farr in Gettysburg, SD, and they spent 63 years together. During World War II, he served in the United States Army in Africa and Europe. Raymond was employed at Wilson & Company for 39 years, retiring in 1981. He was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church and a member of the Eagles, VFW, and American Legion. Raymond enjoyed bowling and was a member of several leagues during his lifetime. He was a quiet man and enjoyed his retirement. Survivors include his son, Richard Kilian of Albert Lea; daughters, Louise Fox of Albert Lea and Dianne Harlan Thom of Minneapolis; grandchildren: Richard Sharon Kilian of St. David, ME, Kristin Kilian of Albert Lea, Lori Victor Alexander of Spokane, WA, Kimberly Robert Lamp of Albert Lea, Kevin Valerie Fox of Albert Lea, Amy Darwyn Barcomb of Charlotte, NC, and Michael Rollins of St. Louis, MO; great-grandchildren: Brian Kilian, Seth Kilian-Bock, Izayah Alexander, Jacob Lamp, Austin Lamp, Tyson Fox, Devin Rollins, Rylie Barcomb, and Haven Barcomb; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ethel; grandson, Robert Kilian; great-grandson, Daniel Rollins; brothers: Henry, Lester, Clarence, and Melvin; and sister, Edna Wager.
