Pearl Marie Amundson was born on October 7, 1926 in Albert Lea, the daughter of Edward and Addie (Nelson) Oberg. She attended Country School #48. On July 21, 1946, Pearl was united in marriage to James Amundson. The couple enjoyed ballroom dancing together. Pearl was an Avon Representative for 38 years, retiring at age 80. She enjoyed embroidery, baking, cooking, and housecleaning. Pearl was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Eagles, and the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children Brian (Rita) Amundson of Albert Lea, Rebecca Loken of Northwood, IA, and Kevin (Suzanne) Amundson of White Bear Lake; grandchildren Cory (Cassie) Amundson, Eric Amundson, Jonah (Tena) Tasker, Alex (Brittany) Manton, and Danika Amundson; great-grandchildren Tyler, Ethian, Addison, Kaylynn, Liam, and Toryn; brother Emil âSwedeâ (Anna) Oberg; sisters-in-law Shirley Oberg and Alitha Amundson; nieces and nephews.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, infant children Lonnie and Carol; brothers Frank, James, and Edward Oberg; sister-in-law Dorothy Oberg; and son-in-law Larry Loken
