Memorial services for Paul James Kaasa, age 77, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. Reverend John Holt will officiate. Interment will be held at Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Paul died January 10, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
Paul James Kaasa was born June 12, 1935 in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Alerd C and Lillian J (Neste) Kaasa. He spent many years working with his dad as a painter; he later did painting on his own. Paul enjoyed riding his bike, walking and reading. He loved to socialize.
Survivors include his sisters Jeanne (Jim) Rushton of Austin, MN and Patricia (Danny) Tuttle of Twin Lakes, MN, brother-in-law Lowell Kleven of Eden Prairie, MN and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brothers David and Robert Kaasa, sisters Marilyn Schultz and Lilly Ann Kleven.
