Patricia Lou Nelson

Patricia L. Nelson was born on June 27, 1935 in Iowa Falls, IA, the daughter of Arthur D. and Helen B. (Wicks) Jean. Pat moved with her family from Iowa to the Hayward area as a young girl in 1949. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1953.  On October 30, 1954 Pat was united in marriage to Thomas L. Nelson at the Hayward Lutheran Church. Pat enjoyed sewing, babysitting her grandkids, and vacations with her family.  She particularly loved family get-togethers.  Blessed be her memory.
Survivors include her husband Tom, children Julie (Mike) Bustad of Austin, Jeff Nelson of Albert Lea, Jill (Cody) Knaack of Glenville, and Jay (Angelique) Nelson of Hayward; grandchildren Jessica (Kyle) Arndt, Jenalee (Jeff) Karlen, Wyatt Madson, Richard Knaack, Trevor Rasmussen, Madison Nelson,  Isabella Nelson, CJ Ruby, and Hunter Nelson; great-granddaughter Chaslin Arndt, brother Warren “Red” Jean; sister Jeanette Hansen, sister-in-law Faith Kirsch; brother-in-law Paul Levine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, her sister Lenore Bauldry, and sisters and brothers-in law H.C. and Faye Nelson, Dora Levine, Kate Lorentzen, and Margarite Nelson.
