Olive Evangeline Thompson was born July 8, 1913, in Bancroft Township to Ole K. and Clara Morreim Rorvik. She attended school in District #19. On February 14, 1937, Olive married Everett Thompson at the Central Freeborn Lutheran Church. She was a lifelong member of Central and was active in the Altar Guild and the church women and held many offices in these organizations. Olive also taught Sunday school, served as the superintendent, and sang in the church choir. Family was very important to Olive and good food was always there for you. She had worked at St. John's Lutheran Home as a cook for many years. Olive enjoyed the many activities at the Good Samaritan home. The staff and residents became like more of her family. She was always appreciative of visits from friends and family. Survivors include her daughters, Sylvia Alan Wilson of Oconomowoc, WI, and Linda Jerry Heideman of Hartland; son, Gary Dianne Thompson of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Lisa Pat Smith, Bradley Erin Wilson, Scott Belinda Wilson, Randy Nancy Heideman, Rodney Kara Heideman, Robert Heideman, Monica Jeno Kuennen, Aaron Heather Thompson, Abbie Chad McGregor, and Jennifer Dave Munyer; great-grandchildren: Evan Smith, Connor and Jack Wilson, Derek and Desirae Heideman, Dylan Paulson, Dakota Heideman, Landen Kuennen, Emma and Lily Thompson, Spencer and Halie McGregor, and Ally Munyer; sisters-in-law: Bernice Thompson, Grace Arneson, Harriet Broskoff, and Elaine Erickson; brothers-in-law: Palmer MarjorieThompson, Earl Bev Thompson, Paul Mary Thompson, and David Marlene Thompson. Olive was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett in February 1987; and sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Norton Nelson.
