Funeral services for Olga Kral, 103, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Rushton will officiate. Interment will be at Bohemian National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 â 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
Olga died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at St. Johnâs Lutheran Community.
Olga Kral was born on December 21, 1910 to Olaf and Eline (Severson) Olson in Haugesund, Norway. In 1914, at the age of 4, Olgaâs family immigrated to Iowa. She attended school in Northwood. On September 17, 1932 Olga was united in marriage to Charles Kral in Glenville. Together they farmed east of Glenville retiring in 1980. After retiring the couple moved to Albert Lea. She was a member at First Lutheran Church in Glenville. Olga enjoyed gardening, baking and making homemade donuts.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Robert Olson of Glenville; grandchildren, Linda (Phil) Herman of Blaine, Judy (Kevin Flatness) Olson of Albert Lea, Marcy (Kurt) Hamberg of Fridley and Brian Olson of Redding, CA; great-grandchildren, Jesse (Kazuyo) Lau, Ryan (Amy) Marker, Corinne Marker, Amber (Brian) Peterson, Lauren Hamberg and Zachary Hamberg; 4 great-great-grandchildren; one nephew and two nieces.
Olga was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Dorothy Olson; brother, Ed Olson and sister, Erna Pals.
