Neil Gordon Larson was born on January 3, 1931 to Cleon and Sarah Haugen Larson. He grew up in Rake, Iowa and went to school there. Neil entered the United States Army in the late 40's and served in the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal and 2 Bronze Service Stars. Following his discharge from the service, Neil moved to Alden and worked as a mechanic. He later moved to Albert Lea where he worked for ALMCO as a machinist. Neil retired in the early 1990's. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Survivors include his brother, Curtis Sharon Larson of Gore, OK; sisters, Sandra Shure of Blue Earth, MN and Delores Lloyd Kraushaar of Albert Lea, MN; several nieces and nephews. Neil was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Wayne Larson.
