Mildred Elenore Knudtson

Funeral services for Mildred Elenore Knudtson, age 86, of Glenville will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17th at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
Mildred died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Home.
Mildred Elenore Knudtson was born on September 1, 1925 on the family farm in rural Alden township to Reinhold and Dorothy (Wright) Korn. She attended Gunther #130 school in Alden township. On January 4, 1952 Mildred married Max Knudtson in Walters. The couple built their home in Glenville where Mildred spent many years as a homemaker and cleaning homes. Once her children were older, Mildred started a daycare in her Glenville home. She was involved in a birthday club with her neighbor ladies. Mildred was a member of United Methodist Church in Glenville. She enjoyed going on daily walks with her best friend and also enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, shopping and Saturday morning breakfasts. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Max; children, Eugene (Dianne) Knudtson, Craig (Theresa) Knudtson; Elaine Bohlen; Gary Knudtson; grandchildren, Kristin Lee, Felicia Knudtson and special friend Russ Mezera, Chad (Chelsea) Knudtson, Ryan Knudtson and special friend Samantha Jorgeson, Jeff Knudtson and fiancé Andrea Rodberg, Holly Bohlen and Amy Bohlen; great-grandchildren, Alax Johnson, Kali Johnson, Paige Johnson and Hailie Knudtson; brother, Junior (Harriet) Korn; sisters, Wilma Dunbar and Evelyn Peterson.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donny; granddaughter, Gabrielle Johnson; great-grandson, Gage M. Knudtson; brother, Laverne Korn; and sister, Marie Stern.
