Maxine O. Reyerson was born on April 15, 1933, to Merril and Cora Peterson Christenson in Forest City, IA. She attended country schools. Her family moved around working on different farms where Maxine helped raise her siblings and helped with the cooking and baking. She married Joe Diaz and the couple had four children. In 1958 Maxine married Curtis Reyerson, they made their home in rural Northwood, IA. The couple had 5 children, Maxine's greatest times were raising her family. In 1965 she and her family were in a car accident that took the lives of 3 of her children. Maxine also worked at the Lake Mills Nursing Home. She was an excellent cook and baker, a quiet lady with a kind heart. Maxine loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Bob Diaz, Lucy Jeff Paulson both of Albert Lea, Daniel Jodi Reyerson of Cedar Falls, IA, Ron Denise Jacobson Reyerson of Albert Lea, Don Sue Reyerson of Oelwein, IA and Chris Marie Reyerson of Grand Rapids, MN; grandchildren, Dominic Diaz, Angel Diaz, Krystal and Holly Paulson, Grady, Taylor, Garrett, Adam, Josh, Jenny, Andy, Joey, Braun, Brittney, and Breanna Reyerson; great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Mavis Christenson, and sister-in-law, Annabelle Christenson; nieces and nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Rebecca, Mary Lou and Vicky Marie; brothers, Clarence, Charlie, and Jerry Christenson; sisters, Arlene Carl Oswaldson, and Adeline Butch Johnson.
