Marvin Harold Miller was born December 20, 1926, to Milton and Hazel Hanna Miller in Forest City, IA. He grew up in Forest City and attended Forest City Schools. On February 16, 1947, Marvin was united in marriage to Vivian Charlson in Thompson, IA. He worked at the Police Department in Belmond, IA, before moving to Albert Lea in January 1961, where he served 24 ½ years with the ALPD, retiring in 1985. Marvin enjoyed guns, hunting, and his dog, "Rusty." Survivors include his wife, Vivian; daughters, Patsy Wenzel and Delores and her husband, Dwight Morris; son, Duane Miller; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth and her husband, Dick Snedden; sisters-in-law, Diane Miller and Dorothy Torkelson; brother-in-law, Donald and his wife, Leona Charlson; and several nieces and nephews. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Hazel Miller; father and mother-in-law, Lester and Olive Charlson; brother, Ray Miller; and infant grandson, Chad Morris.
