Marjorie M. Sprenger

Marjorie Mae Sprenger was born November 13, 1928, to Oscar B. and Lilah Hanson Reindal in Alden. She attended Alden Elementary and High School, where she was the Homecoming Queen in 1945 and graduated in 1946. After graduation, Marjorie worked as a secretary at American Gas Co. On July 18, 1948, she was united in marriage to Donald Sprenger at the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Although she was not active in the business, Marjorie was very supportive of her husband's business, the Chas. Sprenger & Sons Lumber Co. She and her husband also started and operated the Laundromat in Emmons from 1963 - 1973. Marjorie was a resident of Freeborn County her entire life. She had been a member of the Emmons Lutheran Church since 1949 and was active with the Freeborn County Assn. for Retarded Citizens for many years. Survivors include her sons, Steve Sprenger of Sioux Falls, SD, and Timothy Sprenger of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Jay Sprenger of Denver, CO, and Stephanie Sprenger of Sioux Falls; brothers, Harold and wife, Shirley Reindal of San Clemente, CA, and Roger Reindal of Hemet, CA; sisters-in-law; Marie Heine and Elizabeth Dale, both of Rochester, Paula Sprenger of Conger, and Ivo Reindal of San Clemente, CA; aunt, Florabelle Hanson of Albert Lea; nieces and nephews: Bruce Reindal of Vista, CA, Joyce Bruce Quade of San Clemente, Susan Albert Allen of Alden, Charles Sandy Sprenger of Ranchero Mirage, CA, Jane Steven Schmidt of Alden, Mary James Pappas of Nevada, IA; Karen Cory Carlson of Wells, Ruth Heine of Galesville, WI, Alice John Ryba of Rochester, John Julie Dale of Conger, Lowell Jan Dale of Rochester, Janice Tom Nass of New Ulm, and Beth Paul Kock of Rochester. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald.
