Marjorie Sletten

Funeral services for Marjorie Mae Sletten, age 47, of Albert Lea will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel.  Rev. Jeff Laeger-Hagemeister will officiate.  Interment will be at the Danish Cemetery in Ellendale.  Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6th at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.  

Marjorie died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Marjorie Mae Sletten was born on August 5, 1963 to Ferdinand and JoAnn (Paddock) Sletten in Macville, ND.  She grew up in Austin, MN and attended Austin High School.  Marjorie moved several times and most recently was living in Albert Lea.  She enjoyed playing with her puppy Shivers, playing cards and doing crossword puzzles.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Kari (Jason) Sletten, and Christopher Carlson; mother, JoAnn Sletten; brothers, Terry Hammill, Michael Sletten, Earl (Colleen) Sletten, and Allan (Kari) Sletten; sister, Valerie (Mike) Johnson; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Barb Dooley.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Ferdinand; and fiancé, Dan Callahan.
