Funeral services for Marjorie Mae Schreiber, age 88, of Albert Lea will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. Pastor David Schreiber will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Monday, January 2nd, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
Marjorie died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Johnâs Lutheran Home.
Marjorie Mae Schreiber was born on May 8, 1923 to Reuben and Mabel (Knauss) Bosshardt in Morristown, MN. She attended the one room school in Morristown and graduated from Faribault High School. After graduation, she attended DeGuile Academy of Beauty Culture. She was, for some time the manager of the beauty salon located in Schmaus Fashion Shop in Faribault. On April 23, 1949 she was united in marriage to Robert J. Schreiber in Faribault, MN. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful role model of hard work to her family. Marjorie was a member of the United Church of God where she was an active member of the choir. Marjorie had many artistic talents. She enjoyed painting, drawing and was an excellent seamstress. One of her greatest joys was to read to her children and grandchildren. When she had spare time, Marjorie enjoyed gardening, camping and her card club where she played â500â. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; children, Sue (Jerry) Fakler of Osage, IA, Steve (Louise) Schreiber of Rochester, David (Jolinda) Schreiber of Albert Lea, Todd (Sarah) Schreiber of Rochester, Karrie (Mark) Christopherson of Albert Lea, and James (Dawn) Schreiber of Albert Lea; grandchildren, Randy Fakler, Rich (Courtney) Fakler, Mara (Chris) OâByrne, Andy (Heather) Schreiber, Scott Schreiber, Brian Schreiber, Jamie Schreiber, Kelley (Justin) McGinnis, Jonathan (Cassie) Schreiber, Christopher Schreiber, Micah Conti, Angie (Grant) Erlandson, Brittany Schreiber and Kelsey Schreiber; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Maurice (Lorraine) Bosshardt of Owatonna.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Merle (Flora) Bosshardt and John Bosshardt; and great-grandson Rio O'Byrne.
