Marjorie Oline Hoium

Marjorie Oline Hoium was born on December 17, 1924 to Luther and Olive Toft Mickelson in Bath Township of Freeborn County. Marjorie graduated from Albert Lea High School and attended Mankato Business College. She was employed at Wilson & Co. in the bookkeeping department, then Queen Products and Universal Co-op. Marjorie was united in marriage to Bernard Hoium on June 9, 1946 at East Freeborn Lutheran Church. Marjorie was a very active member at East Freeborn Lutheran Church. She participated in the music and church choir, quilting, and held an office with Lutheran Brotherhood. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and attending luncheons with her retired Universal co-workers. Survivors include her children, Del Hoium, Rollin and wife Nancy Hoium, Ross and Kris Hoium, and Bill and wife Anita Hoium; grandchildren, Brian, Philip and wife Amanda, Todd, Scott, Erin, Katelyn, Brett and Ryan Hoium; 4 step-grandchildren, Danny Atkins, Chris, Tim and Michael Flores; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Tommy, Maria and Sophia; brothers, Bob and wife Louise Mickelson and Gerald and wife Darlene Mickelson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bernard.
