Marianne S. Braun was born on November 16, 1924 to Johann and Sibylla Clever in Bad Godesberg, Germany. She was united in marriage to George Knutson on January 31, 1953 in Bad Godesberg, Germany. Marianne immigrated to the United States in 1953, where upon she became a farm wife near Bricelyn, MN. During the farming years, their daughter, Soraya was born. A move was made to Albert Lea in 1956. Over the years, she was employed at Sears, Montgomery Wards and Scotsman. Marianne was united in marriage to David Braun on February 20, 1988. She and Dave enjoyed traveling and upon retiring, wintering in Alamogordo, New Mexico. After Dave's death, she made her home in Alamogordo, where she lived until becoming ill. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Soraya and David Cornick; grandchildren, Jenna Melissa Duffert Cornick, Shiloh Michael Foster, Ebony Brandon Krosch, and Bryant Cornick; great-granddaughters, Isabella Marianne Foster, Maya Jo Foster, and Noelle CareyAnn Krosch; nephew, Jacques Petra Clever. Marianne was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Hans, Gottfried and Ewald, sisters-in-law, Gerda and Inge; second husband, David Braun. After the clouds the sunshine, after the winter the spring, after the shower the rainbow, for life is a changeable thing. After the night the morning, bidding all darkness to cease, after life's cares and sorrows the comfort and sweetness of peace. Mommy and Grandma Marianne, we will miss you.
