Funeral services for Marian D. Weseman, age 89, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015 at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church. Fr. Timothy Reker and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Newry Township. Visitation will be from 4-6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Marian died on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Mayo Clinic Health System, Albert Lea.
Marian Dorothy Weseman was born on January 30, 1926 in Faribault, the daughter of Eli and Dorothy (Poirier) Caron. She grew up and went to country school in rural Freeborn County. She graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1943. On November 21, 1944, Marian was united in marriage to Lewis H. Weseman at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Theodore’s Catholic Church and a 37-year member of the America Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children Adele Tyhurst, Diane (David) Leeds, David (Julie) Weseman, and Carl Weseman; son-in-law Gordon Dentinger; daughter-in-law Stephanie Weseman, 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Raymond Cochlin; sister-in-law DeLoris Caron; and many nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lewis, daughter Barbara Dentinger, son Daniel Weseman, son-in-law James Tyhurst4 great-grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters.
