Margaret E. Ziebell

Margaret E. Ziebell was born March 15, 1908, to James and Josephine Kycek Saman in Hayward Township. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and attended country school. On October 22, 1935, Margaret was united in marriage to Carl Ziebell in Northwood, Iowa. She was a member of Trondhjem Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. Carl and Margaret farmed near Myrtle until his death in 1967. Margaret moved to Myrtle in 1968 and then to Senior Court in Albert Lea in 1999 before going to St. John's in 2003. She enjoyed gardening and baking kolaches. Survivors include her children, Marian Ziebell of Albert Lea and James and his wife, Judy Ziebell of Glenville; grandchildren, Danny and his wife, Lisa Ziebell and Lori and her husband, Kelly Madson, all of Glenville; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Chelsey, and Madison Ziebell and Rieley and Logan Madson; sister, Anne Johnson of Myrtle; and nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; twin children in infancy; and three brothers: Tony, Ludvick, and James Saman. Memorials are preferred to the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
