Margaret Marie Yost

Margaret Marie Yost was born on October 18, 1923 to Carl and Elsie Stern Wittmer in Freeborn County. Margaret was baptized and confirmed at Concordia Pickerel Lake Lutheran Church. She grew up in rural Albert Lea and attended School District #124 in Pickerel Lake Township. On June 22, 1947 she was united in marriage to Arthur T. Yost at Concordia Pickerel Lake Lutheran Church. They enjoyed 54 years of marriage together. Margaret was a member of Concordia Bear Lake Lutheran Church where she was active in ladies aid and circle. She had been an active 4-H member, exhibitor and leader. Margaret enjoyed sewing, baking, reading, vegetable and flower gardening. She was an avid sports fan. Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Survivors include her children, Kathryn M. Pfaff and her husband Larry of Outing, Donald A. Yost and his wife Julie of Albert Lea, John A. Yost of Albert Lea, Carl A. Yost and his wife Carmen of Albert Lea, Theodore A. Yost and his wife Ilene of Albert Lea; grandchildren, Timothy Pfaff, Michael Pfaff and his wife Liz, Kelly Hickman and her husband Mark, Devin Yost, Jill Sholden and her husband Ryan, Andrew Yost and his fiance Ashley Erickson, Kristine Yost, Emily Stein and her husband Douglas, William Yost, and Thomas Yost and his wife Tara; great-grandchildren, Madyson Stein, Vicki Stein and Kenneth Pfaff. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; sister, Maleta Breamer; brothers, Ervin, Clarence, and Manferd Wittmer. May Mom's strength endure in all of us.
