Margaret Louisa Woodard

May 10, 1947 — December 11, 2010

Funeral services for Margaret L. Woodard, age 93 of Albert Lea, formerly of Glenville will be held on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from First Lutheran Church, Glenville.  Pastor Krista Stokka will officiate.  Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Margaret died on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester.

 

Margaret Louisa Woodard was born on May 10, 1917 the daughter of Frank and Kathryn (Watson) Nelson.  She attended and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1935.  She worked at Interstate Power until her marriage to Robert Woodard on Jan 21, 1939 in Northwood, IA.  The couple lived and farmed northeast of Glenville for 50 years.  Margaret enjoyed knitting, crocheting and embroidery work until her sight began to fail.  She also enjoyed gardening when she was able.  She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

 

Survivors include her husband, Robert of Albert Lea, children; Judi and husband Fred Moller, Albert Lea and Wayne and wife Susan Woodard, Albert Lea.  Grandchildren; Vicki Moffitt, Chris and Jay LaVallie, Matthew and Angela Moller, Karen and Aaron Warwick and Katie and Barry Cech.  Great-grandchildren;  Joshua and Rebecca Moffitt, Martina, Courtney and Jessica LaVallie, Maggie, Judd, Greta and Cleo Moller, Sophia, Henry and Stella Warwick.  Great-greatgrandson Otto Moffitt.  Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
