Margaret Ottesen Larson

Margaret L. Ottesen Larson was born on February 6, 1924 to Louis and Lucille Booen Sistek in Albert Lea, MN. She was a lifelong resident of Freeborn County. Margaret graduated from Albert Lea High School. She was employed at Fleetgard in Lake Mills, IA as a press operator, retiring in 1989. In 1941 Margaret married Charles Palmer. On December 9, 1950 she married Howard Ottesen. On April 2, 1974 she was united in marriage to Richard Larson. Margaret was a member of First Lutheran Church in Glenville and the Legion and VFW auxiliaries. Survivors include her daughter, Mae Dennis Christensen of Freeborn, MN; son, James Ottesen of Rochester, MN; sons-in-law, Roger Nelson and Elmer DePoppe; 5 grandchildren; 5great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Bob Sistek of Northwood, IA and Rickard Sistek; sister, Lillian Bratrud of Mesa, AZ and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles, Howard and Richard; daughters, Sharon Nelson, Crystal DePoppe and Tammy Ottesen.
