Mabel Lewis

Mabel Norma Lewis was born in April 16, 1915, in Albert Lea, the daughter of John and Anna Tusen. She attended local schools. In 1937, Mabel was married to Lester S. Witter. She was also married to Albert Lewis in 1962. Mabel was a homemaker and a former member of the Freeborn Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and reading. Survivors include her sons: William and his wife Linda Witter of Clarks Grove, James Witter of Mason City, and Jerry Witter of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Mike, Mark, Lisa, William Jr., Scott, Dustin, Rachael, Angela, Kirstin, Joshua, and Jennifer; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Lester and Albert; granddaughter, Sandra K. Witter in infancy; her brothers: Art, Clarence, Selmer, and Carl Tusen; and her sisters: Cora Tusen, Alyce Tiemann, and Betty Schnarr.
