Lyle S. Wayne

Lyle Spencer Wayne was born June 20, 1929, to Manford and Orley Lestrud Wayne in Albert Lea. He graduated from Ellendale High School in 1947 and had been a resident of the area his entire life. On February 4, 1951, Lyle was united in marriage to Helen T. Clementson in Hartland. The couple farmed in rural Ellendale until 1994. In 1978, they moved to the Thompson Oaks in Ellendale. Lyle was a lifetime member of Community Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Steele-Waseca Cooperative Electric for 35 years and the Cooperative Power Assn. for many years. Lyle enjoyed spending time visiting with his family and many friends. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Survivors include his sons: Greg and wife, Holly Wayne, Brian and wife, Jodi Wayne, David and wife, Linda Wayne, and Tom and wife, Kari Wayne, all of Ellendale; grandchildren: Brandon Jodi, Nicholas Katie, Melissa, Heather, Nathan Linnea, Ashley Brandon, Dustin, Alex, Lexi, Jet, and Tali; great-granddaughter, Eva; sisters, Donna Floyd Walker of Folsom, CA, and Lois Roxy Westcott of Longmont, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Helen on February 18, 2005.
