Lydia Collazo

Lydia Collazo was born on July 7, 1934 to Jose and Josefina Nieves Collazo in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She attended school in San Juan. On May 7, 1961 she married David LeRoy Meyer in San Juan. The couple lived in several locations during his service in the Navy, finally settling in Minnesota. They later divorced. Lydia was a homemaker, she enjoyed sewing and cooking, crafts, pottery and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her son, Dale Danette Meyer; grandchildren, David Serena Valdez, Jonathan Kristin Friday, Sharon Meyer and her fiancé Levi Hughes, Pam Sales, Brianna Meyer, Harley Meyer, Daleney Meyer and Samuel Meyer; great-grandchildren, Marcus, Aunna, Lily Clara, Levi Jr. and Mark. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents; children Leland and Chila Meyer in infancy, and David Meyer in January of this year.
