Lorraine Margaret Trae was born May 1, 1927, to Bennie P. and Lela S. Jackson Thompson in rural Glenville. She was baptized and confirmed at the Round Prairie Lutheran Church. Lorraine attended country school and graduated from Albert Lea High School. She was a life long resident of Freeborn County. On December 2, 1962, Lorraine was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Trae at Round Prairie Lutheran Church. She served in many capacities at Round Prairie over the years, including teaching Sunday school, serving as an officer of the women's group, and as janitor. Lorraine's joy in life came through her family and her faith. She extended many acts of kindness and always had a smile to share. Lorraine spent much of her time taking care of home and family and attending church activities. She enjoyed sewing, baking, decorating her home, having coffee with her sisters, and spending time with the grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Gwen and husband, Jerome Wuerflein and Heidi and husband, Dennis Honsey, all of Emmons; grandchildren: Aaron and Jacob Wuerflein and Abbey and Nickolas Honsey; sisters: Dorothy Beighley, Harriet Heckes, and Marvel Fair, all of Albert Lea; sister-in-law, Norma Trae, also of Albert Lea; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents, Bennie and Lela; her parents-in-law, Edward and Caroline Trae; brothers-in-law: Elvin Beighley, Joyce Heckes, Roy Fair, Arnold Trae, Elmer Trae, Art Sletten, Carl Dybevik, John Jerdee, Melvin Kvam, Harvey Hengesteg, and Lester Bergerson; and sisters-in-law: Mabel Sletten, Evelyn Selstad, Lena Dybevik, Elvina Jerdee, Tena Kvam, Esther Hengesteg, Cora Trae, and Laurine Bergerson;
