Loren Waage

Loren "Bud" Waage was born on October 1, 1915 to Erick and Tillie Handeland Waage in Radcliffe, IA. Loren grew up and attended school in Easton, MN. On March 27, 1937 he was united in marriage to Betty Jean Anderson in Des Moines, IA. The couple moved from Des Moines to Albert Lea and Kiester before settling in the Ellendale area where they lived for the past 60 years. Loren worked at Wilson Foods in Albert Lea for 35 years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Ellendale, a Lion's Club member for 39 years, and member of the Full Gospel Businessmen where he had served as president. Loren loved watching the Vikings and Twins, fishing trips to Canada and he and Betty had spent many winters in Tucson, AZ. He treasured the time spent with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include his children; Gretta Lageson of Ellendale, Dale Jani Waage of Ellendale, Mary Vern Busho of Nisswa, MN, Linda Danny Wagner of New Richland, Cynthia Chuck Crabtree of New Richland; daughters-in-law, Judy Waage of Geneva and Carol Waage of Tucson, AZ; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Erick and Tillie Waage; wife, Betty Waage; sons, Michael and Curtis Waage; grandson, Rayne Truesdell; son-in-law, Eugene Lageson; sisters, Audress Tufte and Mavis Kain; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Woodside and Cleo Casebolt; brothers-in-law, Donald Anderson, Ivan Casebolt, Gary Woodside, Orville Tufte, Edgar Bachtle and Mark Kain; mother and father-in-law, Gaylord and Lena Anderson.
