Lois June Jensen

February 28, 1940 — November 24, 2014

Lois June Jensen was born on February 28, 1940 in Pepin, WI, the daughter of William A. and Ruth M. (Jahnke) Marcks. She grew up in Pepin and graduated from high school there. On August 18, 1962, Lois was married to Roger A. Jensen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bixby, MN.  Lois was retired from U.S. Bank where she worked as a Banker in Customer Service for many years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church where she was active in the Altar Guild, Caring and Sharing, and FLCW, was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Senior Center, the Women’s Investment Group, and the Lois Club. Lois volunteered and was a board member for the American Red Cross and did volunteer work at First Lutheran. She enjoyed walking, playing golf, watching the Twins and Vikings games, going to her grandchildren’s various activities.
Survivors include her husband Roger, daughters Joan (Scott) Wichmann and Kristi Jensen; grandchildren Ryan Sneath, Tyler Wichmann, Tia Sneath, and Tanner Wichmann; sisters Joyce Schafer, Virginia (Charles) Hetrick, and Phyllis (Lynn) Seyffer; brothers Bernard Marcks and James Marcks; brothers-in-law Arthur Pittman, Gary (Roz) Jensen, and Al Henke, sisters-in-law Mary Dahlke and Eileen Raetz; and many nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents William and Ruth Marcks, her brothers Raymond (Jeanette) Marcks, Ronald (Laurell) Marcks, and Robert Marcks; her sisters Joan (Franklin) Glaus and Carole Pittman; brothers-in-law John Schafer James Jensen, and Richard Jensen; sister-in-law Mavis Jensen; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church, the American Red Cross, or the American Diabetes Association.
