Lloyd Allen Dugstad

Lloyd Allen Dugstad was born on August 5, 1915 in Spring Valley, MN to Lewis and Lillian Dugstad. He grew up in Spring Valley and graduated from Spring Valley High School. On July 23, 1937 he was united in marriage to Jeanne Beckman. Lloyd worked in Detroit in sales during WWII and came to Albert Lea in 1946. He was employed as an insurance agent for Hardware Mutual and later with Security Insurance until his retirement in the early 1980's. Lloyd was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed bowling, softball, fishing, especially Trout fishing, pheasant and deer hunting. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; children, Kent Diane Dugstad of Phoenix, AZ and Judy Laursen of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren, Jeff, John and Julie, Sherri and Scott; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Goldie Shaw and Carol Jean Cadwell; many nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary; great-grandson, Michael Dugstad in infancy; brother, Earl; and sisters, Shirley and Doris.
