Lloyd Adrian Bottelson

January 5, 1920 — July 29, 2013

Lloyd Adrian Bottelson was born on January 5, 1920 in Manchester, MN, the son of Christ and Matilda (Hanson) Bottelson. He grew up in Manchester and attended school there. He later attended the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. Lloyd served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, from 1942-1946. He served here in the U.S. and also in India and Burma. During that time, on June 21, 1943, he was united in marriage to Beth “Betty” Nelson in Hartland. Lloyd owned his own business, Lloyd Bottelson Masonry. He was a very talented bricklayer and mason. He was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, and also belonged to the Kiwanis Golden K II, the Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, as well as the American Legion and the VFW.  Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was even able to continue deer hunting up to the age of 90. He and Betty loved traveling and dancing together.  Lloyd treasured the time spent with his family and friends.
Survivors include his children Jerry (Linda) Bottelson, Randy (Cindy) Bottelson, and Steve (Sue) Bottelson; grandchildren Tonya Bottelson, Amber (Ben) Honsey, Travis (Katelyn) Bottelson, and Laura Bottelson; great-grandchildren Landon and Makayla Honsey, and several nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his parents, brothers James and Donald Bottelson, sister June Myran, a sister in early childhood, and a step-brother Alvin Moen.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. Lloyd’s family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Lamson and the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice.
