Lezlie Lois Carlsen

Lezlie Lois Carlsen was born on August 24, 1951 to Leon and Leona Wipplinger Roberts in Hawarden, IA. She grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1969. On July 26, 1969 Lezlie married Jim Carlsen at Central Freeborn Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Albert Lea and Lezlie worked at Kwik Trip for 21 years. She was a member of Women of the Moose and the Hiawathaland Corvette Association. Lezlie enjoyed camping, going out for dinner, playing cards and vacationing. She spent time on many Harley-Davidson motorcycle rides and Corvette cruises. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include her husband, Jim; daughters, Marcy Thompson Keith Maletta, Teresa Rohl, Lacy Carlsen, Erin Carlsen Steven Schmidt, and Krystal Carlsen Kevin Anderson; grandchildren, Trevor Carlsen, Skylar Peterson, Shyann and Gem Olson, Alexander, Chase and Hunter Schmidt and one more on the way; mother, Leona Roberts; brothers and sisters, Collin Barbara Roberts, Gretchen Hulleman, Anna Robert Hernandez, RaNae Roberts, Leon Carrie Roberts and Leona Phil Helland; mother-in-law, JoAnn Carlsen; brother-in-law, Randy Sandy Carlsen; sister-in-law, Cathy Phil Hensche; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lezlie was preceded in death by her father, Leon Roberts; father-in-law, Darrell Carlsen; and special family members, Amy Burgett and Ross Thompson.
