Levetta Evelyn Converse

Levetta Evelyn Converse was born on November 16, 1915 in Lewis, WI, the daughter of Jay and Emma Winehouse Crandell. She grew up and attended school in the Lewis area. On November 12, 1932, Levetta was married to Myron Henry Converse in Grantsburg, WI. They lived in Lewis for a short time and then came to Albert Lea. Levetta was employed at Wilson's and at Land-O-Lakes. She was a former member of First Lutheran Church of Albert Lea, and a current member of First Lutheran Church of Glenville. Levetta enjoyed flower gardening, bingo, and loved kids, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children Marilyn Irvin Martinson of Park Rapids, MN, Bruce JoAnne Converse of Park Rapids, Jane Mervin Nasby of Phoenix; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Levetta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Myron Mike Converse, her daughter Rosemary Sis Beckjorden, son-in-law Nathan Nick Beckjorden, sisters Iola, Alice, and Gertie, and brothers Ray, Roy, Harry, and Jake.
