Memorial services for LeRoy Bert Sorensen, age 34, of Wells will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be at Freeborn Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by Freeborn County area veteran’s organizations. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
LeRoy died Sunday, January 8, 2012.
LeRoy Burt Sorensen was born on July 3, 1977 to Steve and Sonja (Olson) Sorensen in Wells, MN. He was a 1996 graduate of Alden Conger High School. After graduation LeRoy worked as a truck driver and then enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. He was employed at various places; Matawan Feed & Grain, Jensen Transport in Mankato, Albert Lea Seed House, and Kerry in Blue Earth. He was a member of the VFW. LeRoy enjoyed working on his trucks and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his parents, Steve and Sonja; children, Nicole, Katelyn and Tiffany; siblings, Dale and his wife Mary Sorensen of North Carolina, Amy and her husband Todd Drescher of Conger, Kay and her husband Alex Falcon of Richfield and Ray and his wife Serena of Wells; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his grandparents; sister, Tammy; uncle David and aunt Cindy.
