Lawrence Julius Becker

Lawrence J. Becker was born on April 3, 1934 in Alden, MN., the son of Frank and Emma (Bauers) Becker.  He attended country school In Mansfield, MN., and Glenville and Albert Lea.  Lawrence served his country in the United States Air Force for 26 yrs.,as a special support supervisor.  On March 24, 1955 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Christensen in Mason City, IA.  Lawrence also  worked for Otis Elevator Company.  Lawrence enjoyed bowling, fishing and camping with his family and friends.  Playing cards with his buddies and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Lawrence was a faithful member of the Hartland Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served as finance director for many years.  He was also a member of the Eagles and American Legion.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Phyllis; children; Larry (Patty) Becker, Grand Rapids, MN., Linda (Ken) Patrick, Omaha, NE., and Theresa Becker, Osage, IA.  Grandchildren; April, Scott, Joe, Amy, Chris and Steve.  Great-grandchildren; Tyler, Jacob, Caleb, Ethan, Abrey, Hunter, Austin, Dan, Emily, Shelby and Brenna. 6 sisters-in-law and 6 brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents,  brothers, Frank and Fred and 7 sisters; Dorothy, Martha, Laura, Leona, Louise, Francis and Alberta.
